Real Madrid loaned player Gareth Bale played a full 90 minutes for Wales in their 1-0 World Cup qualifier win against the Czech Republic on Tuesday.
It took 81 minutes for a team to get on the board, which happened to be the game winner as well. Bale sent in a lovely cross that was headed in by Manchester United’s Daniel James.
This is Bale’s fourth straight assist in as many appearances for the Dragons. He has now found the scoresheet in 14 of his last 19 international starts. He has 7 goals and 7 assists in that span.
This is Wales’ first win in the World Cup qualifiers. The Dragons are currently third in Group E; two points behind Czech Republic and four points trailing Belgium.
Bale and the Welsh do not play again until June 5 when they take on Albania in a friendly prior to this summer’s EUROs.
