EVERGLADES National Park is on lockdown over an “active shooter” warning, police announced on Sunday.
The Florida park was closed just after 8pm as police hunt long-haired white man, 33.
Everglades National Park told people to “shelter in place” as they shared warning of the shooting.
“Active shooter incident happening at Everglades NP,’ Evergladeds National Park shared on Twitter.
“Main park road (SR 9336) closed for public safety. Visitors/residents in Flamingo should shelter in place.
“Suspect is a 33 y.o. white male,” the National Park added.
Local, federal and state agencies are all working together in response to the incident, Everglades National Park said.
As of 8.45pm, police said there were no injuries to report.
Police said the “suspect fired at park rangers unprovoked.”
“Suspect is still at large,” the National Park tweeted.
