A MAN who allegedly beat a woman to the ground and kicked her in the head has been arrested after the brutal assault was captured on CCTV.
Brandon Elliot, 38, was seen allegedly attacking the 65-year-old after hurling racist anti-Asian slurs at her in New York on Monday morning.
Elliot was filmed allegedly kicking the lady in the head while several witnesses stood by, doing nothing to stop the horrifying scene.
“She tried to avoid him, like how people do when you walk in New York City, but he came right for her,” Luca, the victim’s daughter’s boyfriend told the New York Post.
He added: “She said he was walking towards her and he locked eyes with her.
“After the first hit, she wasn’t even there. I can’t see how she got up from that.”
CCTV of the beating shows security guards inside a nearby residential building appearing to shut the door right in front of the helpless victim.
Elliot allegedly shouted, “F*** you. You don’t belong here,” according to The Post, while continuing to beat her mercilessly.
The lack of response from the building management has sparked outrage online and the staff members have since been suspended.
The woman, who was on her way to church on Monday morning, was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital.
She suffered a severe fracture to the pelvis, but was in a stable condition, according to the police.
Elliot lives in a nearby hotel that serves as a homeless shelter, cops said, but no further information has yet been released.
After initially running off after allegedly committing the violent act, he is now being held at a Midtown police precinct pending his arraignment.
