Vanderpump Rules’ Jax Taylor ‘owes over $1.2MILLION’ in taxes after firing from Bravo show and purchasing $2M LA mansion

FORMER Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor owes over $1.2MILLION in both state and federal taxes, according to documents exclusively obtained by The Sun.

News of the TV personality’s financial woes comes after he purchased a $2M Los Angeles mansion with wife Brittany Cartwright just before he was fired by Bravo for a history of problematic behavior.

The unemployed reality star – who also has his first baby on the way – currently has an unpaid federal tax lien that was filed on January 14.

According to the court records obtained by The Sun, Jax, 41, currently owes the IRS $868,035.

The ex bartender’s unpaid history goes back to 2014 – where he continues to owe nearly $23,000 from the tax period ending that year.

From 2018, the VPR alum continues to have an outstanding balance of $198,190.

As of December 2019 – when Jax and Brittany closed on their pricey California home – the controversial figure had another $646,867 added to his unpaid taxes.

In a separate document obtained by The Sun, the Michigan native is shown owing the California Franchise Tax Board over $316,571 for the period of 2018-2019.

The state tax lien was just filed on March 10 and notes interest and fees will continue to accrue until the outstanding balance is paid.

Between federal and state taxes, documents show Jax owes a total of more than $1.2 MILLION in back payments which will continue to increase if not paid.

The Sun has confirmed with Los Angeles County clerk officials that the taxes remain unpaid.

A rep for Jax did not respond to The Sun’s request for comment.

In December, Bravo announced Jax and wife, Brittany, would not return to the West Hollywood-based reality show.

His comments cost him a lot – as it was reported Jax was the highest-paid earner on Pump Rules with an alleged salary of $25,000 per episode.

As the season typically consists of 24 episodes, this would mean the controversial star is potentially losing out on more than $600,000 per year.

The Bravolebrity was accused of “racist and transphobic” comments as fans quickly called for his firing – with even pal Lance Bass agreeing he should be off the show.

Over the Summer, Bravo fired Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute for their “racist” past behavior.

Faith Stowers accused her former costars Stassi and Kristen of reporting her to the police for a crime she did not commit in 2018.

Jax had also tweeted of Faith: “She’s wanted by the police for grand theft auto and ‘awol’ from military, bad idea to be on a reality show dude. Someone’s going to jail.”

VPR alum, Billie Lee, who identifies as transgender, has accused him of being transphobic.

Just before his firing, Billie tweeted at the network: “What about Jax Taylor? He refused to film with me because I was trans and called him out on his white cis privilege.”

The star’s money woes come as Jax and Brittany – who wed in a tumultuous TV wedding last year – are expecting their first child together.

In addition to a baby on the way, the duo also put down a hefty amount of money on a $1.9M modern farmhouse just outside of Los Angeles in the upscale Valley Glen area.

At the time of purchase, the soon-to-be parents were elated and boasted about the buy on social media as it’s their first bought home together.
